UNEC joins the tree planting campaign within the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”
On April 6, a tree-planting action was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth by the joint initiative of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
About 1,000 Eldar pines and olive trees suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the Absheron Peninsula were planted in the Mushfigabad settlement in the tree planting campaign with the participation of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, the rector of Professor Adalat Muradov, employees of the Ministry and the University, as well as eco-volunteers. Within the framework of “Heydar Aliyev Year”, UNEC plans to plant up to 3500 trees.
The purpose of the tree planting events is to commemorate the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, who always attached great importance to the increase of greenery and the improvement of the environment, and to continue the national leader’s traditions of caring for nature and greenery.
