UNEC Professors discussed the organization of teaching in the Universities of Turkey
Meeting with UNEC Professors sent on business to the universities of Turkey has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on February 11.
The professors said that the trip held for the first time in an extended content was of great importance. They became familiar with the higher education system of Turkey and the innovations applied in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. At the same time they have made a presentation on the innovations applied at UNEC. They have emphasized the fact of the differential salary system was of great interest by the Turkish Professors.
Issues of curriculum, studying the experience of majoring, organization of the teaching process, training methods, relations between the teaching staff and the students, student’ attendance and the organization of internships have been discussed by the professors during the meetings held at the Universities of Istanbul, Sakarya and Uludagh of Turkey. They have got acquainted with the Universities’ cooperation experience with real sector, especially start-up projects realized in the techno parks of the universities.
Rector A.Muradov noted the experience of the Turkish higher education institutions to be beneficiary. The possibility of applying the experience at UNEC has also been discussed. To improve the teaching staff’s scientific potential, Rector recommended the Professors to continue the meetings with the Professors of Turkey via video conferencing. A.Muradov also recommended publishing UNEC Professors’ scientific articles in scientific journals of these universities and the Turkish Professors’ works in UNEC publications and finally to publish a book consisting of the scientific investigations of the Scholars of Turkish World.
Head of the Department “Economy of Enterprise” Ali Hajiyev spoke about his investigation of the Faculty of Engineering which is of great importance in industrial engineering intended to take place in UNEC specialization: “We have made exchange of views with the administration of the faculty and decided to continue the cooperation between School of Economics and Industry of UNEC and the School of Industrial Engineering of Sakarya University regularly.
Emphasizing the necessity of exchange, Rector instructed the delegation to make broad discussions with other the academic staff members of UNEC.
