Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Hasanov Rasim Tapdiq
Main scientific activities of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Hasanov Rasim are actual problems of Azerbaijan’s economy, including problems of sustainable, and balanced development, formation of national economic policy, as well as improvement of macroeconomic regulation and economic management system, acceleration of social and regional development, formation of innovative economy, assessment of economic bases of public choice and functional, sectorial and development of concepts and programs of regional socio-economic development, functioning of the state economic management mechanism, increase of efficiency and effectiveness of public funds, improvement of fiscal policy and financial control mechanism, current problems of economic security, integration of Azerbaijan’s economy into world economy and development of geo-economics relations, assessment of the impact of globalization and the world economic situation on the economy of Azerbaijan, and other actual applied economic problems and issues.
His large-scale articles on current economic problems of our country, successes and prospects of our economic development have been published in authoritative scientific publications in the country and abroad. Among them are ANAS News, “Economy: theory and practice”, “Oil economy”, “Science and technical innovations”, “Economy and audit” and others along with local magazines such as Society and Economics; “Problems of the regional economy”; “Social policy in post-socialist society, tasks, contradictions, mechanisms” (Science, coll. Monograph, 2001), j. Central Asia and the Caucasus; j. The Caucasus & Globalization, Sweden and others publications.
In 1983-1991 in the territory of the former USSR, in 1997-2010 as a member of various delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan he repeatedly participated in international scientific conferences and symposiums held in countries such as China, Poland, Russia, Australia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Kazakhstan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine and others. In 1999-2003, he was the National Coordinator of Azerbaijan for Economic Research at the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Deputy Chairman of the Problem Council “Economy” under the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The first grant of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of economics, which has been operating since 2010, was received by a group of researchers led by Rasim Hasanov. A grant project on a topic relevant to the developing economy – “Assessment of the mechanism of coordination of fiscal and monetary policy in ensuring sustainable economic development in Azerbaijan and identification of areas for its improvement” was implemented in 2011. In 2011-2012, prof. under the leadership of R. Hasanov, grant research was conducted on two more topics. The results of research work on grant projects on the topics “Diagnosis of results of regional socio-economic development programs in the Republic of Azerbaijan and formation of regional economic development model” (2011) and “Assessment of mechanism of state stimulation of agrarian sector development in Azerbaijan and preparation of proposals and recommendations” (2012) were accepted for use in government agencies by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 26, 2011, he was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Teacher” for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan.
Until 2016, he was the director of the UNEC Economic Research Institute.
He is currently a professor at the Department of Economics and Management at UNEC.
