Director of the Department of Foreign Languages PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Khalilova Aysel Zahid
She was born on May 1, 1981 in Baku.
She completed the bachelor of “Roman-German Philology” in 2001; in 2003 the masters of the faculty of Linguistics of Azerbaijan University of Languages with honours.
In the 2001-2002 academic years, she was awarded the First Degree Diploma for her active participation in the annual conference of the Student Scientific Society held at the same university.
Since 2004 she has been working at the department of Foreign Languages of Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
On October 28-30, 2005 and January 7-9, 2006, she actively participated in the USAID Interactive Training for Teachers in Central and Western Europe and Asia and received a Certificate of Achievement from both projects.
From 06.09.2023, he was appointed to the position of the director of the Foreign Languages Department, retaining the position of 0.5 full-time assistant professor of the Center for Teaching Foreign Languages.
On November 8-9, 2010, she participated in the “Best Practices for Positive Business and Investment Climate” seminar organized by the OSCE Office in Baku and Azerbaijan State University of Economics and won a “Participation Certificate”.
In the spring semester of 2010-2011, with the organizational support of the British Consul, she took a 1-semester TKT Module 2 ″ course for teachers organized by the University of Cambridge and passed the Band-3 level and received the University of Cambridge certificate.
From October 21 to November 4, 2013, she was sent to Hacettepe University in Ankara for an internship as part of the “Mevlana Exchange Program”. As a result of this experience, she received “World Languages” certificate from Hacettepe University.
She is the author of the “English Language” program for the master’s degree of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (2013) and the English language program (2015) for the bachelor’s degree of the “Organization of Customs” faculty of the Academy of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee.

Her 5 scientific articles have been published abroad, 21 articles in local scientific journals. She has made reports at international and national conferences. She is the author of 2 books.
She successfully completed the TEFL (Teaching English as a Second Language) course in Milan, Italy in August 2015, and the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course in Brighton, England in September 2016 and won certificates. She received the title of International Teacher.
On May 7, 2016, she successfully passed the IELTS exam and was assessed with an English language proficiency level of 8.5.
She has 18 national and 5 international certificates.
She is a PhD in Philology.
