Yalchin Topchu: A Joint Cooperation of Turkish Higher Education Institutions with UNEC will create the New Development Trend
Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey Yalchin Topchu visited Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on November 22. Visiting Turkish-speaking education institutions within his trip to Baku, Y.Topchu met with the students studying in the Faculty of Turkish World of Business Administration (TUDIFAK) of UNEC. Azerbaijan’s representative of the Circle “Local Thinking” operating in Turkey Javid Movsumlu accompanied Y.Topchu during the meeting.
The National Anthems of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Turkey have been sounded before the meeting starts. Making an opening speech, the School Dean Ferrukh Tuzchuoghlu said Y.Topchu is one of the well-known political persons in Turkey. Bringing to attention that Azerbaijan was always a priority in Yalchin Bey’s political performances; the Dean emphasized his call for the recognition of Genocide to Turkish members of the Parliament during the Conference on Khojali Massacre in February2016 and his visit to front line after the April fights.
Then Javid Movsumlu delivered the information about the performance of the Circle “Local Thinking”. He said there are a lot of Azerbaijani students who study in Turkey. The circle makes assistance in organization of their events, as well as solution of problems.
The Chief Adviser to the President of Turkey spoke about Turkey-Azerbaijan relations. He stressed that the entire Turkic World is a family, but Turkey and Azerbaijan are twin brothers. Y.Topchu brought the attention the UN’s and other international organizations’ attitude towards the occupation of Azerbaijan lands by Armenia: “They are silent, despite of the Khojali Genocide and more than 1 million refugees and internally displaced people. They know it will be difficult to stop the development of the country if the lands will be liberated. They engage Azerbaijan with the problem of Daghlig Garabagh”. Y.Topchu noted that the solution of Daghlig Garabagh conflict will be beneficial not only for Azerbaijan, but the whole Turkic-Islamic world.
Highly appreciating the conduct of teaching in Turkish too, Y.Topchu said Turkish Higher Education Institutions’ cooperation with UNEC will create a new development trend. He emphasized that the Turkish government would always render care and attention in this direction.
