Labor fair “Graduate 2015” aiming to promote employment of alumni was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) with support of the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 28. Numerous vacancies by more than 50 state bodies, companies and banks were offered to graduates during the fair held within the framework of the UNEC’s 85th Anniversary actions plan.
About 2500 graduates from 40 higher and specialized secondary education institutions of Azerbaijan including UNEC, as well as 16 higher education institutions of the globe (the US, Turkey, Russia, Great Britain and so on) were participated in the labor fair.
The fair was reviewed by the Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Chairman of the State Recruitment Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population Anar Badalbayli and Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov. The representatives of the state and private bodies and recruiters provided the rector and guests with the information about the vacancies.
The Memorandum of Understanding on implementing events in the direction of increasing the cadre’s potential was signed between the State Recruitment Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Rector underlined as the graduates’ employment directly influences the universities’ ranking the issue is considered one of the priority directions of UNEC. He expressed the confidence for each youth graduating from our university to be recruited decently.
The young people were offered more than 800 vacancies during the fair “Graduate 2015”. The graduates met with the state and private bodies’ representatives. They were introduced internship and scholarship programs on different majors.
CVs by all graduates applied to state and private companies were introduced at the end of the fair.
