On June 6, UNEC hosted the event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the National Salvation.  

The event, organized by UNEC, the Media Group “Ses” (“Voice”) and the Knowledge Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was on the topic “From National Salvation to Restoration”.

Prior to the event, the film “From National Salvation to Restoration” shooted by the Media Group “Ses” (“Voice”) with the request of UNEC and Knowledge Foundation was demonstrated.

The rector of UNEC, professor Adalat Muradov spoke about the importance of  June 15, 1993, that entered the history of Azerbaijan as the Day of National Salvation. He noted that, as the result of the far-sighted policy pursued by the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev, who had come to the power for the second time with the people’s call, the modern Azerbaijani society with solid foundation was esatablished. The rector saying that, the National Salvation Day was the embodiment of the present realities and happy future of Azerbaijan, pointed out that the concept of independent state building, prepared by the Great Leader, was based on the achievements of the modern Azerbajani state and laid the foundation for future development, unprecedented success.

The head of the Media Group “Ses”, Bahruz Guliyev noted in his speech that, on June 15 the National Salvation ideology demonstrated itself in the sustainable development of independent Azerbaiian and said that as the result of  the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s decent political heir, the President Ilham Aliyev’s wise, far-sighted policy the influence of Azerbaijan in the region and in the world has increased.

The Executive Director of the Knowledge Foundation Isakhan Valiyev noted that, Great Leader Heydar, who had come to the power for the second time with the insistent demand of the people, despite the great risks, courageously took over the liberation mission of the people. Thus, the tension and confrontation in the country, which had lasted for many years was suspended, and the economic development and political stability was achieved in the country.

The editor-in-chief of the newspaper “New Azerbaijan”, the Member of the Parliament Hikmet Babaoghlu, who talked about the essence of the National Salvation Day – June 15, its role in the formation and development of the independent Azerbaijan state, revealed the reasons for the great returning and the political essence of the ongoing events. He emphasized that, the Great Leader, for his leadership skills, was one of the great personalities standing on the highest peak of the political elite of the world. From this peak the past , today and tomorrow of the whole nation – the Azerbaijani people was seen.

The Member of Political Council of New Azerbaijan Party, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Iki Sahil” Vugar Rahimzadeh speaking about the success achieved in Azerbaijan after Heydar Aliyev’s  returning  to power in 1993, improving the welfare of the people, strengthening the place and role of our state in the world, noted that today the place and role of Azerbaijan in the world was the result of the policy pursued by the Great Leader Haydar Aliyev.
