UNEC commemorates the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide
The play “Arzu and Murad” put by the Creative Center of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics on the occasion of 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide has been presented.
Performance played by creative and talented students of UNEC was presented at the Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators. Along with the rector of UNEC professor Adalat Muradov and the academic staff of the university the premiere of the performance was attended by Bayram Safarov, head of the Shusha District Executive Power, Tural Ganjaliyev, head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh, rector of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art Ceyran Makhmudova, well-known intellectuals, public figures and other guests.
In the performance directed by Elman Telmanoglu, the director of UNEC Creative Centre and the director of which is Vakhid Orujoglu, the roles were played by UNEC Student Theater members Yasin Akhmadov, Heyran Mehdiyeva, Ilham Guliyev, Aslan Azimzade, Rashad Aslanov, Nigar Agayeva, Gulnur Imanova and Narmin Zeynalli. The performance tells about the tragic moral tragedies and the bitterness experienced by two young people in the Khojaly tragedy. An intense drama and tragedy made the spectators live sensitive moments.
It should be noted that a series of events dedicated to the Khojaly genocide were organized at UNEC, as well as at the Zagatala branch of the university and Financial-economic college. “Tree of Remembrance” was visited which had been made in memory of Khojaly genocide victims in the main building of UNEC, on which names of victims had been carved on the leaves of it.
