Ph.D., Associate professor Akhundov Rafig Sabir
He was born in 1957 in Lankaran.
In 1964-1974 he studied at the secondary school No. 225 in Baku.
In 1980 he graduated from the faculty of History of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. In 1984, he was sent to the same university as a research intern for 2 years.
In 1986-1989 he was a part-time graduate student at Moscow State University.
In 1989, he defended his dissertation and received the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences.
In 1982-2001 he worked as a researcher at ANAS.

Since 2002, he has been a senior lecturer at the “History of Azerbaijan” department of Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
He is currently an associate professor at the department of Humanities.
He is the author of 16 scientific works.
He is married and has a daughter.
