TRAGEDY OF THE CENTURY (February 26, 2019)
An event dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy has been organized by the Trade Union at Baku Food Industry College today. Opening the event, director of the college Vilayat Ismayilov spoke about the Khojaly tragedy, noting that Khojaly tragedy is one of the most terrible tragedies of the century. The horrors of this night, the shooting of people, the killing of innocent people have left indelible marks on the memory. Then Ismayilov noted that as a result of the visionary and wise policy of our state, and President Ilham Aliyev, the Khojaly tragedy would receive its true value in the international arena. Then the speakers spoke about the Khojaly tragedy with heartache, too. In their speeches, they also noted that the Khojaly tragedy had been a genocide against the Azerbaijani people. The citizens of Khojaly invited to the event also spoke about the burden of this tragedy and said that they would never forget the tragedy until their death. Then, an eternal artistic composition dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy was performed by students. In conclusion, the chairman of the Trade Union S.Sharifova thanked the participants of the event and noted that at the end of today’s event, we also add our voices to the voices of millions and accept appeals to international organizations:
We support the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign and demand that it receive its true value as the Khojaly genocide!
