The presentation of the book “Hay lineage in an Armenian volume” is held at UNEC

Within the framework of the “Culture of reading” project, the presentation of the book “Hay lineage in an Armenian volume” by Rasim Sadiq, an Azerbaijani scientist living in Germany, has been held at UNEC. 

Historians-scientists of ANAS and the academic staff of UNEC took part in the event moderated by Associate Professor Gulnara Rzayeva, Director of the Organization of Teaching General Disciplines.

The Rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov congratulated the author, stating that the presented book would play an important role in conveying to the world the truth about the history of the hay lineage of Armenians, the historical enemies of Azerbaijan. The Rector drew attention to the fact that the research center on the Armenian Economy operating at the UNEC is conducting research on the economy of both countries, as well as that two Armenian language courses have been organized at the university in order to obtain more complete information about the economic situation of Armenia from sources in the Armenian language. The rector said that there was a great need for such research after the liberation of Karabakh from occupation, and noted that UNEC scientists have further expanded their research on the economy and history of Karabakh.

The author of the book, associate professor Rasim Sadiq, said that President Ilham Aliyev, in a meeting with representatives of Khojavand district community, said that it is the duty of Azerbaijani historians to study Hay-Armenian and Hayastan-Armenian parallels. The author stated that he was proud to fulfill that duty today, and said that his research was brought to the fore on the background of our great victory won in the 44-day war and that it was the first book created from the results of the “True Face of the History of Lies” project. The author noted that the study of the “five thousand years of Armenian history” that was inculcated into world historiography in the last three hundred years, the emergence of the “Hay” ethnos, the ancestors of today’s Armenians, the history, causes, causatives, and consequences of their migration to Anatolia and the South Caucasus are reflected in the book.

At the event organized by OTGD and UNEC Library Information Center, the Executive Director of the ANAS Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Professor Eynulla Madatli, Department Heads of the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakıkhanov, Jabi Bahramov, Guntekin Najafli, Professor Rena Mirzazade, Professor Vakil Hasanov, Head of the  Humanities chair of UNEC, delivered a speech saying that the book is very useful for our modern times and it is important to translate it into different languages of the world and spread it.

In the end, the participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition of Karabakh books.
