Professor Abdulla Sofiyev was ranked 8th in Turkey and 1287th in the world in the field of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering. It is possible to include leading scientists with at least a 30 D index for academic publications in the field of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering only.
In 2003-2004, professor Abdulla AVEY, a researcher at the UNEC Composite Materials Science and Research Center since 2021, was the first in the world to solve the problem of dynamic stability of cylindrical and cone-shaped coatings made of functionally graded materials. Starting from 2018, the non-linear stability and vibration issues of multi-layer structures made of nanocomposite materials, which are one of the foremost problems of modern technology, especially in the defense industry, have been solved in various environments. These results are widely used in satellites, rockets, spaceships, and nuclear reactors. A. Sofiyev was included in the list of the world’s most influential scientists compiled by Stanford University in 2019-2020 and was among the world’s 100 most influential scientists in his field of science.
He is the author of more than 250 fundamental scientific articles, as well as more than 120 articles published in prestigious international journals.
