UNEC Vice-Rector Participates in the Meeting of the Association of Azerbaijani Scientists
The Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Professor Rovnag Rzayev, participated in the inaugural meeting of the Association of Azerbaijani Scientists (ABID), operating in Istanbul, Turkey.
The event, organized jointly by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Federation of Turkey-Azerbaijan Associations (TADEF), and ABID, was attended by representatives of government institutions, university rectors, and other prominent figures in the field of science.
During the meeting, speakers emphasized the potential contributions of Azerbaijani scientists living abroad to the future activities of ABID. They highlighted the establishment of ABID as a significant initiative serving science, education, and national unity.
The two-day event included discussions on expanding cooperation with higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, enhancing the sustainability of universities, and promoting joint activities such as seminars and projects.
It is worth noting that the primary objective of ABID is to contribute to Azerbaijan’s development processes, particularly in the fields of science and education, following the victory in Karabakh. The association aims to establish a knowledge bank to support Azerbaijani students studying in various countries in master’s or doctoral programs. Furthermore, it seeks to create opportunities for young people to connect with Azerbaijani scientists worldwide, facilitating interaction and benefiting from their expertise.
