The event, attended by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Farhad Hajiyev, featured opening remarks by the Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov. In his address, Professor Muradov extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners for their remarkable achievements and wished them continued success in their roles as future leaders.
Professor Muradov emphasized the university’s enduring pride in the accomplishments of its alumni and underscored the importance of strengthening the relationship between graduates and the institution. He also highlighted the significance of fostering collaboration between the university and industry sectors. Furthermore, the Rector elaborated on the directive issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to transform UNEC into a world-class university, as well as the strategic efforts undertaken within the “UNEC-100” Development Strategy to achieve this vision.
Deputy Minister Mr. Farhad Hajiyev commended the innovative initiatives implemented at UNEC, noting that a significant proportion of the winners of the “Yuksalish” competition are UNEC graduates. He proposed the establishment of a mentorship program through which the competition winners could provide guidance to current UNEC students.
During the meeting, the Rector addressed a range of inquiries from the “Yuksalish” competition winners regarding topics such as educational quality standards, the entrepreneurial university model, the preparation of specialists tailored to labor market demands, and other pertinent issues. The session also facilitated in-depth discussions on measures to enhance the overall quality of education.
