This multi-institutional and multidisciplinary initiative brings together students, academic mentors, and business partners to address pressing sustainability challenges.
Through Future17, students gain valuable, hands-on experience by working on real-world business projects related to sustainability, all while being part of diverse, international teams. Participants develop crucial skills such as cultural competence, digital proficiency, collaborative teamwork, and critical problem-solving—all vital in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape.
The inaugural Future17 initiative brought together 126 students from four leading universities, forming 18 teams that received mentorship from both academic experts and industry professionals. This pioneering programme, co-founded by QS and the University of Exeter, unites multinational corporations, top universities, and passionate students to advance the UN SDGs.
