Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between UNEC and AACHEN University
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and AACHEN University of Germany with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov; Director of the ITA Institute at AACHEN University, Professor Thomas Gries; Regional Representative of ITA Academy GmbH for Turkey, Esra Yuksel Yilmaz; Head of Synergia Academy, Rana Afandiyeva; the company’s Chief Training Advisor, Aytan Jabrailova; and other university representatives.
During the meeting, Professor Adalat Muradov provided detailed information on UNEC’s academic programs, digital governance model, international partnerships, dual degree and exchange opportunities, as well as the university’s position in global rankings.
Professor Thomas Gries praised UNEC’s modern teaching approaches and emphasized the importance of developing academic cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting concluded with the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between UNEC and AACHEN University.
The MoU outlines cooperation in several key areas, including student and faculty exchange programs, the organization of joint conferences, collaborative research projects, the implementation of international certification programs, exchange of best practices in lifelong learning and innovative teaching methods, as well as joint initiatives in environmental management.
