The representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, American Chamber of Trade Azerbaijan (“AmCham Azerbaijan”) and “British American Tobacco” held a meeting with the students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics on April 2. Students were informed that the job fair for students would be jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, American Chamber of Trade Azerbaijan (“AmCham Azerbaijan”) and “British American Tobacco” on May 23 at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Director of the British American Tobacco on Cooperation and Regulation affairs in the Caucasian region Zviad Skvitaridze noted that, the fair organized by initiative of the Ministry of Education is to be held in Azerbaijan for the first time. The participation of more than 100 international and local companies is expected in the fair. They will join the fair with the information of more than 300 vacancies.
The Human Resources expert of the American Chamber of Trade Azerbaijan Zamira Abbasova informed the audience that the fair would give the III and IV year undergraduates and the graduate students as well a chance of investigating job opportunities by the recruiters. She noted that the job fair is provided within the efforts directed to involve the students studying in different universities of Azerbaijan to get interned at the international and local companies and to enhance the job opportunities.
Before the event relationship between the recruiters and students will be created, the representatives of the institutions will be informed about the candidates and meetings with the appropriate company members will take place this day. To take the advantage of the opportunity created for the first time students will go though the registration by entering the personal information via special software. Companies will invite the candidates to the interview at the time defined during the fair.
