UNEC’s academic staff and students travelled to Horadiz and Lalatepe height on the anniversary of April fights. University employees shared their impressions of the trip with unec.edu.az webpage.
Member of Parliament, Head of UNEC Department of “Price and Pricing”, Professor Khanhuseyn Kazimli: “April fights is our glorious military victory; it is the victory that show our state’s, nation’s and army’s power. The battles show that Azerbaijan people and Government will never reconcile with the occupation. The enthusiasm and military training we see in our soldiers, grounds to say that we will restore our territorial integrity at all costs”.
Dean of the School of “Finance and Accounting”, Associate Professor Geray Musayev: “We take pride of the combat readiness of our troops. The mission of all of us is to form, develop and promote the feelings such as patriotism to our people, loyalty to the nation and to be ready for martyrdom. Moreover, we promise to deliver all we have seen here, to our students. The victory is with us!”
A senior teacher of the Department of “Price and Pricing”, martyr Giyas Guliyev’s brother Ibrahim Guliyev: “The march is a sign of respect to our hero martyrs’ and my brother’s memories. Azerbaijan sovereignty is the most sacred goal and duty of all of us. In this case, as the owners of our destinies, we have to protect our lands. My brother has risen to the top of martyrdom with this goal. Let our Homeland be safe!”
UNEC student, participant of the April fights Maftun Ismayilov: “Today we met with my my friends’ family members who were killed in the front. I bow my head in front of them. My friends’ memory is sacred to me. I have unforgettable memories about the April battles. I got shrapnel wounds on my chest in this battle; however, I did not leave the trench. I am proud to be the participants such a major operation and have a share of this victory. I fulfilled my duty within the operation decently. I am ready to fight again by the Supreme Commander’s order”.
A Student-rector of UNEC Shahin Hasanov: “To visit the brave soldiers who fight for the liberation of our lands and listen their memories is the feeling that cannot be expressed with words. We remember UNEC’s alumni- Tural Dadashov and Mahir Mirzayev who died for this victory with pride. We are proud of them. Let their souls sleep in peace; because we-soldiers of the future will take revenge of them. We have to develop the feelings of patriotism and fighting spirit. Because, to defend the Homeland is the sacred duty of every young person”.
