A team of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has been awarded the second place of “Azerbaijan Business Case Competition” (ABCC).
The idea of the “Azerbaijan Business Case Competition” (ABCC) organized among the students of the higher education institutions by the Public Association of the “US-Educated Azerbaijani Alumni Association” at the ADA University combines the objectives such as to improve the III-IV year undergraduate and graduate students’ knowledge and skills in economy-oriented areas, support the youth who are interested in acquiring practical knowledge in this field and be an intermediary in involving them to the country’s business environment.
The working group conducted business-oriented trainings related with theoretical and practical fields targeted in preparation to the competition within seven days. Students and graduates participated in all trainings successfully passed the preparatory stage of the contest. Within the main stage of the competition, condition for mastering practical knowledge and skills based on discussions and presentations were created for fourteen teams of 4 members which were submitted business cases of the University of Harvard every week.
One UNEC team and three teams of ADA University achieved the final stage. UNEC’s team won second place of the intense struggle. Members of the team are the third- year undergraduate students of the International School of Economics Nijat Behbutov, Aysel Katanova, Zumrud Hasanli and Ashraf Huseynov.
