Book discussions: “Financial risk management”
Within the framework of the “Book Discussions at UNEC” project, the next discussion was organized by the “Finance and Audit” department.
The books “Financial Markets” and “Financial Risk Management” were discussed at the presentation of the department’s associate professors Tunzale Gurbanova, Gultekin Mammadova and senior teacher Shahla Alicanova.
Tünzala Gurbanova, associate professor of the “Finance and Audit” department, who opened the event with an introduction, gave information about the books prepared by the department’s employees and emphasized that the publications play an important role in the teaching of relevant subjects in higher education schools. At the same time, he noted that the books will be useful for people working in the financial field.
Gultekin Mammadova, associate professor of the department, and Shahla Alijanova, senior lecturer, also gave extensive information about the books and talked about the self-development aspects of the book “Financial Markets” co-authored by the head of the department, Prof. Avaz Alekbarov, Prof. Zahid Mammadov and Associate Professor Alida Huseynova.
During the discussions, the participants were informed about the modern financial markets and their development in Azerbaijan, and the special role of the textbook in this field was emphasized.
“Finance and audit” department staff, i.e.d., prof. The participants were also informed about the “Management of Financial Risks” textbook they prepared under the leadership of Avaz Alakbarov. It was said that the book will be important in strengthening students’ knowledge of the theory, methodology and technique of financial risk management, as well as solving practical problems and economic situations.
At the end, the students’ questions were answered.
