Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor, Hasanov Rovshan Shakhverdi
He was born on March 17, 1956 in Minkend village of Lachin region.
In 1978 he entered the faculty of Geology and Geography of Azerbaijan State University (now BSU).
He graduated from the same faculty in 1983.
In 1987, he entered the full-time postgraduate course at the department of Climatology at the Institute of Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 1995, he defended his dissertation entitled “Agro climatic conditions and resources of the southern arid subtropics of Azerbaijan and Central Asia” and was awarded the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences.

At present, he is an associate professor of “Economics and Environmental Protection”.
He is the author of 12 scientific works.
He is married and has two children.
