The first training, held on August 31, was attended by about 1,000 teachers registered on the Zoom platform. The training was watched live on Facebook by 2,000 people.
Azerbaijani scientist Fariz Huseynov, a professor at the University of North Dakota in the United States, gave the first training on “Distance education: similarities and differences with traditional education.” In the training that the participants watched with interest, Fariz Huseynov made a presentation on the purpose of distance education, similarities and differences with traditional education, the format of distance education, quality standards.
Then, Sevinj Mammadova, Program Director of George Washington University, made a presentation on “Organization of Online Education”. He spoke about expectations from distance learning, their management, and the division of responsibilities of lecturers and students, assessment factors and other issues.
After the presentations, the questions of the participants of the training were answered by the speakers.
Trainings on “Organization and methodological support of teaching in distance education” will last until September 4.
