To increase young people’s role in socioeconomic and cultural development of society, to improve their participation and responsibility in the country’s future development, to stimulate youths’ awareness and scientific performance and to combine efforts in the direction of appreciation of their achievements the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Savings Fund on International Cooperation of Germany have been announced a joint Award Competition on “Young Scholars and Financial Literacy” on the occasion of the “February 2- Youth Day” guided on the tasks put forward by the unit on “Increasing the Financial Literacy of Consumer and improving protection of rights” of Priority 5.2 of the ”Strategic Roadmap for the development of Financial Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The competition is targeted in strengthening socio-economic development of the country, especially on financial literacy and supporting development of banking system in Azerbaijan, increasing economic and financial literacy in the country, recognition of financial literacy as a public value, assessment, awarding of the original articles and their approbation within the contest by the young scholars and specialists qualified on the relevant majors and their stimulation.
Awarding the best scientific works published on financial literacy and selected as the winners on the following nominations are intended:
Young scientists and experts with higher education in the related area (at least graduate degree) who work for the organizations of the ANAS, higher education organizations, ministries, bodies under, organizations in financial-credit system, NGO and the companies related with ICT under 35 are eligible for submitting their documents by the deadline on equal basis.
It should be noted at the beginning and the end of the article that it is “Published for the participation in the joint award competition on “Young Scholars and Financial Literacy” by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Savings Fund on International Cooperation of Germany”.
The documents will be admitted from February 12 2017. Deadline is February 25 2017 05pm. The result will be announced on the first decade of May 2017 and awards will be introduced in a special ceremony.
To help the candidates and respond the related questions within the submission period implementation of consultations are planned to be held by the Science Development Fund and the Research and Development Center of the Central Bank.
