A.S.Imanov was born in Jalilabad in 1940.

A.Sh.Imanov is the author of about 86 scientific works, as well as 8 books, monograph, textbook and a training aid concerning the topical problems of the national economy.
He was awarded with the titles of the Soviet retailer and labor veteran by the decision Board of Azerbaijan Republic the Ministry of Trade in 1986.
He is the Laureate of the award Gizil Gelem (Golden Pen) and the member of the Writers’ Union.
A.Imanov is married, has 5 children.
