“The New Quality Standard of Education by UNEC”- “E-University Model
Meeting with the administrative staff of the University associated with the application of the unique management platform “E-University” model has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov delivered the information about the new model and its introduction. He said training process was entirely digitalized in the main training building of the university at the first stage. The teaching staff was trained on innovation. Those who need further information will be assisted. The teaching process at the main building will only be conducted with the new rules.
Afterwards structural heads were introduced presentation on the functions of the new model. It was noted information about the teaching staff, students and alumni will be entered, but the time- tables, groups on subjects, tentative plans of disciplines, students’ individual syllabuses have already been entered into the base of the system consisting of simple operating principles. In addition, teacher’s and student’s personal cabinets and exam system sections were set up in the system. E- stands with access to the system were installed in the lecture rooms. This way, paper journals are being replaced with e- journal. Teachers will be able to check the attendance within 15 minutes. This will create the opportunity of calculating students’ attendance and point gained during the seminars automatically. Students will be able to enter the system via mobile phones in future.
The new software developed only in accordance with UNEC teaching process is connected with the replacement of the teachers’ lectures into the cabinet. These lectures and training aids will be performed according to the training methodological plan. The training methodological plans will be adapted to syllabuses. This innovation will give the student opportunity to enter the instructor’s cabinet via his/her and benefit from the materials.
Rector Adalat Muradov spoke about the benefits of the “E-University” model to the teaching process. He noted that the new system will enable to the emergence of public discussion the material entered by the teaching staff.
The teaching staff’s ranking will also be available via e- stands. Rating will be determined in accordance with the data placed in their cabinets on the activities. A. Muradov added “E-University” model will be applied in all buildings of the University. The model realized within the “Year of Quality” is applied for the first time at UNEC.
