The goal of the memorandum was to expand the beneficial relations between parties, to form business ideas among students, to create innovative initiatives, and enlighten the business entity.
The document is also reflected the joint activities carried out by the UNEC research centers for conducting business research and analysis, the implementation of joint projects.
The rector of UNEC, professor Adalat Muradov, pointed out that the scientific researches unrelated to the practice had lost their significance, and he emphasized the importance the students’ acquisition of the practical skills along with the scientific knowledge, as well as the training of the professionals who meet the requirements of the real market environment.
The rector also talked about the “UNEC2B” platform, which is aimed at bringing the teaching in line with the labor market requirements, creating a model of entrepreneurial university, and targeted at employment of the graduates. Noting that UNEC had established good cooperation with state and corporate bodies, A. Muradov said that joint activity with SMEA (Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enerprises) would be efficient. The rector said the UNEC had the potential to fulfill the function of the “brain center” of SMEA.Referring to the issues of teaching and learning opportunities, the rector also spoke about the activities of the “UNEC Extern Center”, which is able to provide online education to 10,000 students simultaneously. He noted that, the businesspeople could attend the trainings of the “UNEC Extern Center” in the field of their interest without leaving their work place. The Chairman of the Board of SMEA (Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enerprises) Orkhan Mammadov spoke about the importance of promoting entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ideas, enlightening of entrepreneurs, exploring of the opportunities of using advanced support models, the cooperation with science and education centers in the implementation of the country’s innovative potential.
O.Mammadov noted that, the Agency for Development Small and Medium-Sized Enerprises was preparing the models and mechanisms for supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and emphasized that they are interested in using the potential of UNEC research centers in this process.
In the event, it was noted that, in accordance with the requirements of small and medium-sized businesses, they will work jointly to develop the modern curricula, the study guides on relevant specialties, as well as in the direction of increasing the students’ practical knowledge.
