UNEC’s Certificate on ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System is prolonged
The audit of the Quality Management System audit of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) by the auditors of Turkic Institute of Standards has been completed.
The auditing process covering 2012-2015 years within the ISO 9001-2008 QMS Project lasted three days. The improvement of the quality management system and the audit of the execution documents of all structural bodies, centers, faculties and chairs of UNEC were carried out by the senior auditor of the Turkish Standards Institute Hasan Demirtash in accordance of the ISO Standards. The decision on the results of the audit was made with the participation of the university administration and the employees at the final session of the last day of audit.
According to the decision, UNEC Certificate on undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels meets the International Standards of ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System and has been extended for one year.
Benefits of the “Quality Management System” ISO 9001:2008 are as follows:
- It ensures the proper supervision of the process diagrams preparation of the activities held under the basic structural units;
- Facilitates evaluation of the determined quality targets measurable on basic structural units;
- Adjusting of documentation with international norms and standards facilitates their correct accounting, as well as forming a unified documentation system;
- Provides proper division of powers and the interconnection of the system;
- Facilitates cooperation with the education institutions, scientific-research institutes and bodies performing with international standards;
- Provides the formation of high image by applying international experience in the education system;
- Ensures the integration of the international experience and new advanced methods in the education system;
- Makes it easy to select and evaluate the criteria on the assessment of the university’s strategic vision and objectives.
