This initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening the university’s efforts in advancing sustainable development goals and green economy practices.
The SSCN, established by the Green TERRE Foundation, is an international network of over 500 higher education institutions from 12 countries, supported by UNESCO. Its primary aim is to connect universities worldwide to collectively work toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Net Zero (carbon neutrality) objectives.
The SSCN fosters a dynamic global community among universities, enabling participating institutions to adopt cloud-based solutions to achieve carbon-neutral campuses. A key focus of the network is to enhance young people’s understanding of Net Zero initiatives and develop their skills in this critical area.
By joining this international network, UNEC aims to expand its activities in sustainable development and green economy while implementing innovative and technological solutions to transform its campus into a carbon-neutral environment.
