At the initiative of the students, the special boxes were placed in all campuses of UNEC. This was announced by the captain of the “Enactus UNEC” team, the third year student of the International School of Economics Eshkin Jafarov. “342 adolescents die every day in the world because of environmental pollution”, E.Jafarov said, adding that the basis of the environmental pollution was plastic bottles: “Unfortunately, only 10% of 20000 bottles produced on average per second are processed.
We – the “Enactus UNEC” team, this year, as every year, have initiated the ecology and the environmental protection as our main focus in our projects. And this year, especially after getting acquainted with these incredible statistical data, we have decided to design the project for recycling the bottles to protect our babies and nature from pollution. For this purpose, we placed the special boxes on the each floor of UNEC, in the canteen and yard. The boxes have been placed in the main campus since today. In the near future, it will be installed in all campuses of the university, as well”.
The team “Enactus UNEC”, which motto is “Let’s protect babies and nature” is asking the academic-teaching staff and the students of the university to put the plastic bottles and other plastic products in their hands into those boxes. The gathered bottles will be presented to the company AzEkol for recycling.
E.Jafarov appealing to the each member of the UNEC family said: “Every bottle you throw into the box will not only clean the nature. Also, you will save the lives of children passing away in the result of pollution”.
