The document was signed by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov and the Director of “Absheron Hotel Group” Georg Kobos.
In his speech, the rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov talked about the importance of establishing the serious and useful relations with the real sector, as one of the priorities of the university. It was noted that, the process of specialist training, meeting the requirements of the real sector was being continuously improved at the UNEC. The rector said that, this cooperation would be useful in training specialists in the sector of tourism, as well as for employment of students and graduates in this direction.
The director of “Absheron Hotel Group” Georg Kobos noted that, they are interested in establishing long-term and effective cooperation with UNEC. Expressing his satisfaction with the support of the education sector as a representative of the real sector, Gobo Kobos said that currently there was a need for staff in many aspects of the tourism sector. He also said that, the dynamic development of the world’s tourism and hotel industry will create the enormous opportunities for university and graduate employment. At the event, was made the presentation about “Absheron Hotel Group”. The main goal of the memorandum is to contribute to the sustainable tourism potential of Azerbaijan in the direction of human resources and to conduct training professionals through joint activities.
Within the framework of the cooperation, the support will be given to adaptation of teaching in tourism and hospitality to contemporary market conditions, the acquaintance of the students with real working environment, and acquiring the practical knowledge and skills in building relationships with tourists. Taking into consideration, the multidimensionality of tourism and hotel industry, the students will be given appropriate mentoring advice in career planning.
Another direction of the cooperation is to assist in organizing work experience internship that will create the new business opportunities for the students in the future. In this regard, the UNEC students will be able to gain practical knowledge by participating in the working process in the hotel during work experience their internship.
The conditions will be created, as well as, for the students of the Zagatala branch of UNEC for work experience internship and employment in the regional hotels of the company. In addition, throughout the year the meetings and the workshop sessions will be organized with the experts working in the field of tourism, academic-teaching staff and students.
In addition, the company will provide with the accommodation the representatives from foreign countries invited to the international conferences organized by UNEC.
