The exhibition of paintings on the ocasion of the National Flag Day  was held at UNEC.

In the exhibition held on the topic “My tricolor flag” the  hand-works of the  UNEC students were demonstrated.

Saadat Gandilova, the prorector for Students Affairs visiting the exhibition said that,  for the first time the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev initiated the restoration of the tricolor flag as a state symbol in Nakhchivan. She stated that, on November 17, 1990, at the session of the Supreme Assembly (Parliament) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic chaired by Heydar Aliyev had been made the decision on restoration of the tricolor flag of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and adopting  it as the national flag of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and it was one of the most glorious pages of the history of independence.  She pointed out that, as the successor of the progressive political course of the Great Leader, the decree of the president, Ilham Aliyev on the establishment of the Day of the State Flag in Azerbaijan is of great importance in terms of upbringing the young people in the spirit of patriotism.

The visitors highly appreciated the ability of the students to harmonize the state flag shades with national ornaments, architectural monuments and nature.

The exhibition, which was met with great interest, was organized by UNEC Creative Center and the chair of “Design“.
