During the meeting with the rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, the delegation was informed about UNEC. The rector emphasized that he is interested in the implementation of the dual degree program in these specialties, and UNEC is the only university in the country that specializes in food design and light industry with a degree in design, and it is important to study foreign experience in this direction saying that both technical and technological specialties are also taught at UNEC along with economics majors. Adalat Muratov also spoke about the activities of the Innovative Business Incubator and said that there is a need for experienced professionals to implement startups.
Dan Freifeld then gave a detailed information of the Sapir Academic College. He shared the experience of Sapir Academic College on design, teaching techniques of information technology specialties and launching startups.
During the meeting, the two universities discussed dual diploma programs in technical and technological specialties, training start-ups, learning experience of mentorship, implementation of seminars, trainings and joint distant certification programs.
Then the delegation made acquaintance with the Innovation Business Incubator, UNEC Extern and the new Reading Room. Commenting on the activities of UNEC Extern, Adalat Muradov said that distant certification programs and trainings are currently underway here. The delegation which highly appreciated the capabilities of UNEC Extern, noted the possibility of joint distant certification programs.
During the visit, the delegation met with the students and the academic staff of the faculty of Technology and Design. Dan Freifeld made a speech with a presentation to in front of the lecturers of the faculty and students majoring in design. The Israeli guest made interesting statements about the design of daily products, their impact on the lifestyle and emotions of the person, listed the facts.
