The main aim of the “Model of Electronic University” started to be applied at UNEC since 2015/2016 academic year is to improve the quality of education, to create the transparent and sufficient education environment and to build the management of the teaching process in the level of modern requirements.

The e- university system provides ample opportunities to assess and manage the quality of education:

• Digitalization of class schedules on faculties and informing the teaching staff and the students about the schedules in electronic form;
• Automatic calculation of pre- exam scores (colloquium, seminar points, free topics and attendance)as a result of the application of e- registers;
• Uploading the e- version of teaching materials (texts, lectures, presentations, audio and video materials) on the teacher’s cabinet;
• Digitalization of calendar- thematic plans and syllabuses;
• Conducting satisfaction survey among the students in electronic form;
• Application of differential salary system and evaluation of the academic staff’s scientific, pedagogical and personal development performances;
• Implementation of the colloquiums and exams in electronic form;
• Creation of the academic staff’s and students’ unique electronic platform.

The following results have been achieved within the new model fully applied in the School of “Finance and Accounting” since the spring term of 2015/2016 academic year:

1. About 80% of the academic staff’s lectures have been uploaded on the personal cabinets;
2. 62% of lectures on the faculty is being carried out with presentations;
3. About 43% of cases related with the seminar and lecture classes have been uploaded in the system;
4. Cases of the replacement or disruption of classes have been reduced to 3-4% on the faculty;

At the end of the academic year the list of the unreasonable disrupted and replaced classes will placed on unec.edu.az webpage indicating the names of the instructors.

Realization of the complex events with appropriate departments is being continued on the basis of the data obtained from the system.

The application of the improved model of the e- University at UNEC on all faculties is planned to be implemented since 2016/2017 academic year.
