The Winter Exam Session of 2016/2017 academic year starts at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Provision of the objective assessment and transparency of the students’ knowledge have chosen the priority within the session launched today. A series of novelties have been applied at UNEC in connection.
Exams will be open to public this year, too. For the first time the representatives of NGO will conduct anonymous survey within the session. The results of the survey will reveal the real situation in administration of the exams and assessment of students’ knowledge. Appropriate step will be taken to solve the problem.
Another innovation of the winter exam session is that the representatives of NGO, Media and public will be charged to “Hotline” service of the university. Appeals, complaints and their investigation will be controlled by.
UNEC’s libraries and reading halls will operate till 10pm to the end of the session. Special auditoriums provided with uninterrupted Internet are created in all academic building to eliminate resulting density when students get prepared for exams.
UNEC Rector’s “Open Door” Day will be held from 10am to 12am every Saturday within the session. UNEC’s Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov invited Media and representatives of NGO to participate in the “Open Door” days and the exam session closely: “Your opinion is very necessary for us to ensure sustainable improvement in the quality of education at the university”.
The above mentioned points are reflected in the Rector’s addressing to students and parents on the occasion of the start of the winter exam session. It was said, that the exam session is open to public and any parent can follows them. But the journalists will be involved to exams as the “controllers”.
Exams at Zagatala and Darband Branches and the Financial Economic College will be held in the same manner.
The Winter Exam Session of UNEC will end on February 2. 15 students on each course with the highst score will receive the excellent student’s scholarship. The aim is to stimulate UNEC students’ interest in studying.
