An event dedicated to UNEC heroes was held
UNEC Student Trade Union Committee, Central Library of Khazar Region Centralized Library System and Antalya Azerbaijan Culture and Solidarity Organization organized an event called “UNEC Heroes” dedicated to the martyrs.
At the opening of the event, First Lieutenant Parvin Abdullayev, a veteran of the Second Patriotic War, spoke about his war path.
Then the family members of the martyrs’ families spoke and shared their memories of our heroes who died for the Motherland.
At the meeting, the writer Najiba Ilkin recited his poems about the martyrs and pointed out that he will write a book about UNEC martyrs. In the artistic part organized under the leadership of Nilufar Abdulova, head of the information-resources department of the Centralized Library System of Khazar region, a poem related to the martyrs was recited.
An employee of the Independence Museum, who participated in the event, said that a corner dedicated to martyrs will be created in the museum.
Javahir Mammadova, deputy dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Turkic World, shared her thoughts about the martyred graduates of the university. Then, the head of the Antalya Azerbaijan Culture and Solidarity organization, Jeyran Sattarova, spoke about the importance of holding events dedicated to the participants and martyrs of the Patriotic War, and emphasized the importance of these events being continuous, not forgetting our heroes, and raising the spirit of patriotism among young people.
