The Faculty of Finance and Accounting is established in September 2015 as a result of combining two faculties Finance and Accounting.

From 2021 to the Faculty of “Finance and Accounting” cand.of econ.scien.., Assoc. Hajiyev Hafis Ahmed oglu is in charge. The deputy dean for scientific affairs is associate professor Azer Islam oglu Garayev.

The Scientific Secretariat of the faculty was established in 2017 in order to organize administrative activities at the “Finance and Accounting” faculty. The Scientific Secretariat is the executive structural unit of the Faculty and is headed by the Scientific Secretary. Since January 2020, the Scientific Secretariat of the Faculty has been headed by Kamala Rafael Hamidova.

History of the faculty

In the 2024/2025 academic year, 523 students were admitted to the faculty, 28 students scored 600 and above. Khadija Mardanli, who scored 674.80 points in the entrance exams for the 2024/2025 academic year, scored the highest score in the “Finance and Accounting” faculty. 14 of the students admitted to the faculty are foreign citizens. Currently, a total of 1954 students study at the faculty.
