“I UNEC Science Slam”- Winner of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting
Initial stage of the competition “I UNEC Science Slam” has started.
First lectures were held among the students of UNEC School of Finance and Accounting.
A Secretary to the Rector, Ramil Jabbarov said the goal of the “Science Slam” applied in the world is the promotion of science among the youth in a different and entertaining form and to make them interested in research. “I UNEC Science Slam” is UNEC students’ distinctive scientific-research environment. The competition “Science Slam” organized for the first time at UNEC and directed to the popularization of scientific activity is held among the all faculties. The faculty winners will compete in the final on May 4.
Then students’ lectures were heard.
Saida Khalil made a presentation on “The Differences and Similarities between McDonalds and KFC”. The student analyzed the different and similar characteristics between the two companies.
Aygun Abbasova who made a presentation on “The Role of Securities Market in Azerbaijan’s Development” spoke about the significance of the field in the country’s economic growth. She made proposals for the further development of the securities market. She said improvement of data provision and the establishment of the branches on securities market in the regions would increase the development capacity of this area.
Shafag Bakhishova made a presentation on “Welcome to Albatross”. She talked about the role of tourism in the country’s economy.
The topic “The Road to Economic Growth-Agriculture” was heard in Khazar Aslanov’s presentation. Khazar Aslanov’s speech with the visual aids and entertaining video materials was of great interest by the students.
According to the format of the “Science Slam”, the winner was defined in the end on the basis of the students’ applauses. The winner of the contest was defined taking the measure of the applauses and Kh.Aslanov became the winner with 96.8 DbL result. He will represent the Faculty of Finance and Accounting in the final.
