1. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have completed the master’s level of higher education (by defending a master’s thesis) or whose education is equivalent to it can apply for doctoral studies in the Ph.D. program in the Doctor of Philosophy program.
2. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have a scientific or scientific-pedagogical achievement in their chosen field, have the potential to conduct fundamental research at a high level and have a scientific degree of “PhD” (candidate of sciences) are accepted for the Doctor of Science program.
3. To be admitted to the PhD program through a dissertation, those who have completed the master’s level of higher education (by defending a master’s thesis) or equivalent education, have achieved success in the relevant research field, and whose main place of work is a higher education institution, scientific institution, and organization, at least two years of scientific – scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with pedagogical experience can apply. Preparation of postgraduate studies is not free for those who do not work at UNEC.
4. The following documents must be submitted for admission to doctoral or doctoral studies:
– personnel personal registration sheet;
– autobiography;
– 2 photographs (3×4 size);
– certificate from the workplace;
– extract from the workbook for those with work experience;
– a list of published scientific works (with the addition of copies from the journal in which the scientific works were published). Scientific works should be relevant to the speciality chosen by the applicant. Those who do not have scientific works must submit an abstract on the topic of their chosen speciality (requirements for the content and composition of the abstract can be taken from the page https://unec.edu.az/application/uploads/2015/02/Referat-n-yaz-lmas-na-t-l-bl-r.pdf );
– Notarized copies of higher education diplomas (diploma) and lists of marks (mark list) (certificate of the Ministry of Science and Education on the recognition of educational documents for citizens educated in foreign countries);
– Copy of ID
– Notarized copy of PhD (candidate of sciences) diploma (For those who admit documents for the program of Doctor of Sciences)
5. Those who want to be admitted to doctoral studies in the PhD program will take the exam in Foreign Language (at the State Examination Centre) in June 2023, in Philosophy on September 4, 5, and 6, and in the Specialization on September 11, 12 and 13.
6. Acceptance of documents for doctoral studies or dissertation studies will be conducted on the www.portal.edu.az platform from April 16 to May 15, 2024. Documents must be uploaded in electronic form (pdf).
