Memorial event devoted to one of the respected person’s of the University who had been serving at the Department of International Relations for many years, Professor Bahruz Abdullayev’s 80th anniversary was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on December 17. The scientist’s friends, relatives and students participated in the event devoted to a person whose mission was the kindness.
Making an opening speech on behalf of the UNEC rector, Professor Adalat Muradov Vice- rector for Organizational Affairs Saig Askerov said the university administration’s approach to the elders have been constant and the kind of events became a tradition and also shared his best memories about Behruz teacher.
Professor Hidayat Jafarov, Chairman of Darband society Nurulla Aliyev, on behalf of the Council of Elders Hasan Israfilov, closer colleagues of Bahruz teacher Muzaffar Mammadov, Asker Abdullayev who worked with him shoulder to shoulder for many decades, Dean of the Faculty International Economic Relations Mansur Barkhudarov spoke their memories about Bahruz Abdullayev which sometimes moved the participants into tears and sometimes made them smile.
Bahruz Abdullayev’s wife Leyla khanum expressed her gratitude to the university administration and the participants of the event for the commemorative event. She said that Bahruz teacher considered the university his native venue, even the second home.
The photo slides reflecting Bahruz teacher’s life and activity demonstrated in the end caused to move everyone into tears and look through the pages of friendship and companionship.
