Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Aliyeva Alina Majid
She was born on November 25, 1953, in Gadabay region of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 1975, she graduated with honours from the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D. Bunyadzade (now the Azerbaijan State University of Economics), majoring in political economy.
In 1975, she worked as a laboratory assistant at the “Political Economy” department of the same institute, and since 1978 as a senior laboratory assistant.
In 1978-1981 she entered the postgraduate course in Political Economy at the Azerbaijan State University named after S.M. Kirov and graduated from the same university in 1991.
She defended her thesis on “Material incentives to improve product quality” and was awarded the title of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
In 1999, she was elected a teacher at the department of Political Economy of the Baku branch of the Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics named after L.N. Voznesensky.

In 1992, she was elected a senior lecturer at the department of Political Economy of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics, and in 1999, she was elected an associate professor at the Department of Economic Theory-2.
She is currently an associate professor at the Department of ‘’Theoretical and Practical Economics’’ of UNEC.
Married, has three children and two grandchildren.
