Lectures within the “Islamic Solidarity Year” are in progress at UNEC.
The next lecture took place in the Russian School of Economics. An Associated Professor of the Department “Humanitarian Disciplines” Gunay Piriyeva conducted a lecture on “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation- is a successful model of for the Muslim Countries’ Unity”. She said Islam plays a significant role in the formation of the system of progressive human values, the world’s cultural heritage and the ideas of humanism. Muslim countries that possess centuries-old rich traditions contributes to strengthening of the dialog among the civilizations and cultures and to the development of political, economic and cultural processes in the international community of mutual cooperation. Factors, purposes and objectives contributing to the creation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation were debated within the lecture. Information about the successful cooperation of Azerbaijan with the Organization was also delivered.
