It has been one year since the martyrdom of Asad Asadli
November 9 was the anniversary of the martyrdom of Asad Asadli, student of UNEC, martyr of the Patriotic War.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the martyr, the management of UNEC Correspondence and additional education center, representatives of UNEC THIK and veteran students of the Correspondence Education Department who participated in the Patriotic War visited the grave of the martyr in the 3rd Fakhri Khiyabi, commemorated his dear memory, and laid flowers in front of the grave.
Associate Professor Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev, Director of the Correspondence and Additional Education Center, said on the memorial day that Asad Asadli left his studies, work and personal life in the first days of the Patriotic War and left for the Voluntary Patriotic War. He said that he took 21 of his comrades out of the siege and was martyred in the heavy battles for Khojavand, and that he was proud of the fact that Asad was a UNEC student.
Mahir Asadov, the martyr’s father, shared his memories of his son and expressed his confidence that Asad’s soul will be happy with the visit of the teachers and students of the university where he studied, as well as his comrades in arms.
Then Yalçın Kocherli, Head of Correspondence Education Department, and Rufat Süleymanli, Chairman of UNEC THIK, made speeches, students studying in correspondence, veterans Hamid Iskanderov, participants of the Patriotic War, veterans Bayram Osmanov, Nurlan Ahadli, Muhammad Asadov, Lachin Zamanov spoke about the path to victory, Asad’s and all the martyrs they said that his memory will live forever.
