Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Assist. Prof. Mammadov Oktay Akbar
He was born in 1959 in Tovuz region.
He graduated from Azerbaijan State University (now Baku State University) in 1985 and worked as a senior engineer at the Institute of Additive Chemistry of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan until 1987 on appointment.
In 1987-1990 he was a full-time graduate student of the Institute of Theoretical Problems of Chemical Technology of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan;
on January 20, 1992, he defended his dissertation. He is a candidate of chemical sciences.

Since 2002, he has worked as an associate professor at the department of “Quality Examination of Consumer Goods”, “Commodity Science and Examination of Non-Food Products” of Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
He is currently an associate professor of “Expertise of consumer goods”.
He is the author of about 50 scientific-methodical works.
He is married and has two children.
