The Interdisciplinary Sports Competitions dedicated to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 94th Anniversary is in progress.
The competition started in March is carried out in different sport types such as volleyball, badminton, basket ball, ping pong, mini football, chess and checkers.
UNEC students have again competed in checkers. The race organized in “Chess” Club was held among the students of the faculties “Finance and Accounting”, “Economics” and “SABAH” Groups. Students of the School of Finance and Accounting Rashad Abdullazade, Jahanagha Aghayev and Kenan Abishov got I place with 6 point within the tense rivalry. SABAH Group students Bahruz Fatullazade, Mahir Shakarov, Gudrat Ibrahimov were II with 5,5 points and students of the Faculty Economics Goshgar Alkhanzade and Elmir Aghayev were III of the competition.
The referee of the race was the Coach of the “Sports Club “Igtisadchi” (Economist), International Grandmaster Serkhan Guliyev.
The competitions organized by the Sports Club “Igtisadchi, Student Youth Organization and Student Trade Union Committee are targeted in promoting a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
