Rector introduces the new Dean
Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Professor Adalat Muradov has introduced newly elected Dean of the Faculty Finance and Accounting Geray Musayev to the university employees.
Highlighting that Geray Musayev has been directing the Center for Distance, Part- time and Secondary Education since 2014, the Rector praised his work done over these years. The Rector stressed that we want the School of Finance and Accounting to be a modern faculty. Therefore we will realize the projects prepared to implement the targets set towards UNEC mainly with this Faculty. The Rector has noted the Department of Finance and Financial Institutions has been selected as pilot department in this direction. As a result, UNEC will appear with its new image, said the Rector.
Speaking about the affairs to be done in the Faculty of Finance and Accounting which is the biggest of UNEC, the Rector emphasized that is would be famous for the organization and quality of teaching not only in Azerbaijan but also in the region. Emphasizing the importance of the work with students, he has pointed the need to establish a body inside the faculty to respond the students’ claims operatively.
Afterwards, A.Muradov has met with the Heads of the Faculty Departments. Affairs to be done in the direction of improving the quality of education and the perspectives have been spoken within the meeting.
Note: With the aim to improve the management the Faculties of Finance and Accounting have been combined in 2015 and the School of Finance and Accounting has been established. Targeting the administration and organization of teaching the Departments of Banking, Finance, Tax and Taxation have been abolished and on the basis of those departments Finance and Financial Institutions has been founded. And the Department of Accounting and Audit has been established on the basis of the departments of Accounting, Economic Analysis and Audit.
