Doctor of Technucal Sciences., prof. Seyidov Abbas Qadir
He was born in 1957 in Nakhchivan.
In 1978, he graduated from the history and philology faculty of Nakhchivan State Pedagogical Institute majoring in history.
In 1978-1982 he was a teacher in Hajivar village school of Babek region, in 1982-1996 he was a senior laboratory assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor at “Azerbaijan history” department of Nakhchivan State University (1993), In 1996-1998 he worked as a teacher at Azerbaijan Higher College of Applied Sciences, in 1998-2000 as a teacher at Baku Computer Lyceum, since September 2000 he has been working as an associate professor, professor at the department of “History of Azerbaijan” of Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
He has been a candidate for a degree of Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS. In 1991, he defended his dissertation and received the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences.
In 2003 he defended his doctoral dissertation in Baku and received the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences, and in 2012 he was awarded the title of Professor of History of Azerbaijan by the relevant decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He is a member of the dissertation council No. FD.01.211 operating under the Nakhchivan branch of ANAS.
Since 2013, he is a member of the expert council on history of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 1998 he was awarded the “Golden Pen” journalist award, in 2011 by the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan he was awarded the title of “Leading Educator of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 24, 2020, he was awarded “Taraggi” medal on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan.
He is married. He has four children and grandchildren.
The employment contract concluded with Abbas Seyidov was terminated on his own initiative from 15.02.2023.
