The grave of martyred UNEC student Isakh Verdiyev was visited on his birthday
September 21 was the birthday of UNEC student Isakh Verdiyev, who rose to the top of martyrdom for the liberation of Karabakh. If he had lived, he would have been 24 years old.
On the occasion of Isakh Verdiyev’s birthday, a memorial ceremony was held in front of the martyr’s grave in Sumgait’s Shahidler Khiyaban. Along with his family members, associate professor Mansur Barkhudarov, deputy dean Anar Kurdoglu, chairman of THIK, Rüfat Suleymanli, director of the department of general subjects teaching, associate professor Gulnara Rzayeva attended the event. , teachers and students participated. The UNEC collective paid tribute to the dear memory of the martyr, laid a wreath and arranged flowers in front of the grave.
Dean of the Russian School of Economics, Mansur Barkhudarov, presented Isakh Verdiyev’s diploma to his family. He said that our victory won at the cost of the blood and lives of brave sons like Isakh, our brave soldiers and veterans, ended the 30-year longing for the Motherland, and said that our people are proud of such sons of ours, they are an example for future generations. He pointed out that every member of the martyr’s family is valuable for the UNEC family.
Then the UNEC team visited the martyr’s family.
Chairman of THİK Rufat Suleymanli presented the gift made in the name of Shahid to his family to be placed in his corner.
About Isakh Verdiyev
Isakh Verdiyev was born on September 21, 1997 in Kaliningrad, Russia. He received his primary education at school No. 8. In 2007, together with his family, they moved to Azerbaijan, his father’s homeland, Tartar, and in 2008, they moved to Sumgayit. He continued his secondary education at secondary school number 3 in Sumgayit.
In 2015, he was admitted to the “Economics” specialty of the Russian School of Economics of UNEC. He suspended his studies in 2018.
On July 20, 2020, he was called up for military service by the military commissariat of Tartar region. When the Patriotic War started, he was sent to the war zone. Martyrdom reached its peak on October 6 in the battles for Alkhanli village of Fuzuli district.
He was buried in Fakhri Alley of Sumgait city.
After his death, he was awarded the “For the Fatherland” and “For the liberation of Fuzuli” medals.
He was married and had a 2-year-old son.
