UNEC has been represented in the International Universities Networking Conference
Vice-rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) for International Affairs and Programs Shahin Bayramov has taken part in the II International Universities Networking Conference-IUNC North America 2016 held in Miami of the US. The main purpose of the event dedicated to Building Global Higher Education Community was to discuss global trends in higher education in the modern world and to promote the cooperation among the universities representing various regions of the world and higher education agencies.
Shahin Bayramov has made a presentation on “Creating efficient partnerships: internationalization of higher education and global challenges for universities” during the three-day conference. He provided detailed information about the globalization features of higher education, the importance of an adequate reaction of the universities in the world for the process, as well as the measures taken for the development of international cooperation at UNEC.
Sh.Bayramov has held bilateral meetings with the representatives of the universities and higher education agencies of the USA, Japan, Brazil, Spain, France, Italy, Czech Republic and India and other countries within the event. Issues of the cooperation opportunities among the universities and involving foreign students to UNEC have been discussed during the meetings. Sh.Bayramov has called at the campus of the Florida International University and the Business College of the same University.
