The position of Azerbaijan in the “Doing Business” report was discussed at UNEC
The scientific seminar on the position of Azerbaijan in the “Doing Business” report was held at UNEC today.
The seminar was attended by the Head of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communications, Doctor of Economics Ramil Huseyn, the responsible employees of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs and the academic-teaching staff of UNEC.
Opening the event by introductory speech, the pro-rector on Science and Innovations of UNEC, the prof. Sakit Yagubov briefly informed about the “Doing Business” report.
Rafail Rzayev, the Scientific Secretary of the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Studies, made the presentation on the topic the “Comparative analysis of “Azerbaijan’s position in the Doing Business 2019” report”.
The presentation provided the information on the “Doing Business” report, Azerbaijan’s position in this report has been thoroughly analyzed, comparing with neighboring countries, taking into account changes in individual indicators. The report outlines the reforms that make Azerbaijan’s position more promising and the impact of these reforms on the parameters used to calculate the indicators. In the end, the rapporteur made suggestions on the necessary measures to further improvement of Azerbaijan’s position.
At the seminar, the Head of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communications, Doctor of Economics Ramil Huseyn, spoke about the measures taken to improve Azerbaijan’s position on international ratings.
Then, the representatives of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs talked about the measures taken in the field of entrepreneurship development in recent years and invited the UNEC researchers to cooperate, pointing to the need for entrepreneurial research.
Then the questions of participants were answered.
