“Young Diplomats Club” has been established at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The club established in the Russian School of Economics of UNEC is targeted in supporting the development of students’ knowledge and skills in international relations. At the same time, pave the way for the implementation of round table discussions and workshops for the professionals of the field and the formation of the ability to analyze the events happened in the world by the young people. The “Young Diplomats Club” will also perform in the direction of making ties with the Embassies and Consulates operating in Azerbaijan, involving them in different projects of UNEC and investigate the opportunities for the participation of students in their projects.
Director of the Russian School of Economics, Associate Professor Mansur Barkhudarov noted that the Department of “International Relations” will perform as a consulting base of the newlty established student organization which intends to closer cooperate with the Embassies and Consulates and international organizations performing in Azerbaijan. The club will get assistance in this ground by the Departments of “International Economic Relations” and “International Economics”.
Head of the “Young Diplomats Club” is a second-year undergraduate of the Russian School of Economics majoring in “International Relations” Zuleykha Mammadova. Z.Mammadova presented the logo of the club which reflects white dove hiding an olive branch in its beak was selected a symbol of peace within the World Peace Congress founded after the World War II: “And we will try to contribute to the establishment of peace in the globe as the future’s diplomats”.
